1. FIFA Cup

Made of 13.5 pounds of 18-carat gold, the plaque weighs 6.1 kg and was sculpted by the late Italian artist Silvio Gazzaniga. It shows two men holding a globe/earth with a cavity inside. The round base is made of two pieces of malachite. Apart from football, the cup is considered the most expensive sports cup in the world.

2.FA Cup

One of the main competitions in English football, the Football Association Challenge Cup, or FA Cup, is the oldest national soccer competition in the world. Made by English brand Thomas Lyte, the FA Cup costs €1 million (around Rs 8 crores) for adults. The 61.5cm tall bowl is made from 6.3kg of 925 sterling silver. It took more than 250 hours to create the cup, which currently belongs to Liverpool, who beat Chelsea in the 2022 final.

The Ballon d’Or is one of football most popular awards, awarded annually by the French magazine France Football to honor the best soccer player. The cup, designed by the French jeweler Mellerio deits Meller, was first presented in 1956. The golden cup has a height of 28 cm and a weight of 12 kg. It is engraved with the FIFA Ballon d’Or logo and is estimated at €508,000 (around Rs 4 crore), according to Sportskeeda. Real Madrid captain and Frenchman Karim Benzema won the Ballon d’Or this year. Lionel Messi has won the Ballon d’Or seven times.

4. African Cup of Nations

The Africa Cup of Nations is the main men’s football competition in South Africa. Three trophies have been awarded to the winners of the competition since it was first held in 1957. The first trophy was the Abdelaziz Abdullah Salem Trophy, made of silver. Ghana, which became the first country to win the tournament three times, was awarded the permanent trophy in 1978. The second trophy, awarded between 1980 and 2000, was called the African Unity Cup. The cylindrical piece was finally delivered to Cameroon in 2000, after winning the contest three times. The current trophy, a gold-plated trophy made in Italy, costs 127,000 euros (about 1.3 million rupees). Egypt won the trophy in 2010 after being three times champion. 5. Serie A Cup

Serie A is the most important league in Italian soccer and has been played since 1929-30. The Serie A trophy, known as the Coppa Campioni d’Italia, has been used since the 1960-61 season. Designed by renowned designer Ettore Cavalli, the 58cm tall bowl weighs 8kg and is priced at €55,000 (approximately Rs 44 lakhs), The cup, which has a gold ring in the center, bears the names of all the winners.
