“In England, you never feel ‘in,'” Rohit admitted. “The conditions are challenging, and the weather keeps changing. It requires prolonged focus, and eventually, you develop an intuition about when to take on the bowlers. Moreover, it’s crucial to understand your strengths and remain on the field.”

As the World Test Championship final against Australia approaches, Rohit, who boasts the highest batting average (50 plus) in the Indian team since the tournament’s inception, emphasized the significance of perseverance and hard work on English tracks. While many younger players are still adjusting to this aspect, those of us who have been doing it for years are able to deliver our best performances, he adds.
